I just discovered this video of Lane Bryant Behind the Scenes plus size model commercials shooting.
Nobody fits you like Lane Bryant.
It appears the television network ABC has pulled out a commercial featuring one of those plus size models (Ashley Graham) because they find its content inappropriate.
That’s the video displayed below.
Seriously?
The only difference between this video and what you are accustomed to see in Victoria Secret commercials is the size of the model. I have to point out the obvious here: this is a double standard.
It’s OK for the regular size model – you know the ones we see everyday on TV and in beauty/fashion magazines – to show her assets but some TV executive feels offended when s/he sees a curvy and natural women.
I would would understand that position if a wardrobe malfunction occurred but none of happens. Anyway, here is that “controversial” commercial banned by ABC. You be the judge!
Well, what do you think?

I still can’t believe the big deal with this commercial. It is well made and clean. Some of those VS commercials go way beyond subtle. I’m not saying VS commercials should be outlawed, they have their own purpose but there really was no reason for the Ashley commercial not to be aired.
Hi Moe!
Good to have you at Curveluscious.com. There is a double standard applied here in regard to the Lane Bryant commercial. Those commercials are no different and do not reveal more than others using the petite size models. Any way there are more an more plus size oriented fashion and entertainment events these days. That can only mean, real woman are now used as models.
